Carroll Shelby, an avid racecar driver, was forced to quit driving due to a weak heart. He never gave up on his passion, however, and turned to building race cars as the alternative. His legacy, the Shelby Cobra, forever changed American muscle car history when it won against the Ferrari in 1965.
